A guy walked into our bedroom and tried to kidnap my baby. When I tried to wake up my husband, he turned and tried to stab me with a small knife twice but I curved the knives and broke them. Then he turned again to pick up my daughter, i wad screaming and trying to wake him up but he was fast asleep. I rushed out to check two of my brother inlaws, they were also fast asleep with their mouths wide open. I ran out on the car park calling for help and a neighbor ( a lady) rushed to check on us . I said there's a guy in there, when she flashed the torch, she saw him standing infront of the main door. So she ran back to her house to get help.
Dreams involving themes of danger, protection, and helplessness, such as the one you've described, are quite common and can hold significant meaning related to your waking life. Let's break down the elements of your dream:
Intruder in the Bedroom: The presence of an intruder trying to kidnap your baby often represents feelings of vulnerability and fear of losing something precious in your life. This could relate to your real-life anxiety about protecting your loved ones or a deep-seated fear of loss or invasion of your personal space.
Husband's Inaction: Your husband's inability to wake up and his subsequent attack on you when you try to alert him might symbolize a feeling of being unsupported or misunderstood in a certain area of your life. There may be situations where you feel like you're not getting the support you need from those close to you, or it might reflect fears of miscommunication or betrayal within close relationships.
The Knife: A knife is a weapon of aggression and may signify conflicts, emotional damage, or a fear of being hurt by those you trust. Breaking the knives showcases your strength and ability to defend yourself against these perceived threats.
Sleeping Brother-in-Laws: Their deep sleep despite the unfolding chaos suggests that you might feel isolated or alone with your concerns or issues, as if others around you are unaware or indifferent to the challenges you're facing.
Calling for Help: Running out and seeking help from a neighbor highlights your desire for external support and perhaps reassurance. It reflects a need to connect with others and share burdens during times of crisis.
Neighbor's Reaction: Her initial willingness to help but then retreating for more assistance might mirror feelings about the people in your life who desire to help but find themselves ill-equipped or uncertain about how to effectively do so.
Overall, your dream suggests a strong protective instinct over your child or something that you value dearly, combined with a sense of needing more support and communication with the people around you. It encourages addressing any underlying anxieties about safety, security, and dependency in your relationships, possibly prompting you to explore these themes more consciously in your waking life and communicate your needs more clearly with those around you.
